The Right Way and Wrong Way

Attorney Elizabeth Rattigan joins VPR's Vermont Edition to discuss the ins and outs of dismissing an employee in an "at will" employment state.

Even in an “at will” employment state, there is a right way to let someone go and a wrong way. On Vermont Public Radio's Vermont Edition, Labor and Employment Attorney Elizabeth Rattigan shared some simple steps to follow that will allow you to dismiss an employee with dignity and within the law should you be faced with the unpleasant task of having to fire an employee.
